Sagrada Família: buy now or wait?

The LEGO® set went on general sale on 1 November 2026 and isn't listed as retiring. I'd wait until December unless it's a Christmas present, because nothing we can see closes before then.

This is not financial advice. We report prices and official dates. We don't forecast what a set will be worth.

My answer: wait until the first week of December, unless it has to be under a tree. That's an opinion, and here's what it rests on. We have no price history for this set, since it only went on general sale on 1 November 2026. So this guide reasons from what's on the record today, and it makes no guess about future discounts.

What's known today

Here's the set in your market: £649.99 on LEGO.com in the UK, checked 3 Nov 2026.$799.99 on LEGO.com in the US, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Germany, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in France, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Spain, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Italy, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Portugal, checked 3 Nov 2026. The list price reads £649.99$799.99€749.99€749.99€749.99€749.99€749.99, and LEGO.com charges RRP on all 80 sets in our catalogue today. The tracker shows the rest of them.

The status at your LEGO.com: AvailableTemporarily out of stockAvailableAvailableAvailableAvailableAvailable. It's worth reading that line, because the seven storefronts we read didn't all agree when we checked on 3 Nov 2026. If yours says available, you have a choice. If it doesn't, the question may answer itself for now. The set page carries the current reading.

It isn't listed as retiring soon on LEGO.com in any of our seven markets, checked 3 Nov 2026. If that flag is new to you, what retiring soon means explains what the label does and doesn't tell you. LEGO gives a status there and no date.

Gifts: the part that argues for waiting

Gift-with-purchase offers come with a published deadline. So I went through the press releases.

The Sagrada Família release mentions no gift at all. That matters in both directions. There's no window you'd miss by waiting, and buying today earns you nothing extra either.

Black Friday

LEGO's 3 November release on Godzilla mentions a Black Friday and Cyber Monday kick-off event. Set 21065 isn't in it, and I can't tell you what LEGO has planned for this set. It may be nothing.

That's still my reason for waiting. The Friday in question is 27 November 2026. Before that, the releases I've read date one shopping event: LEGO Insiders private shopping at participating LEGO Stores, on 14 November in EMEA and 15 November in the Americas. That release mentions no offer on this set. Holding off costs you little, on what we can see. An offer you'd have had by waiting four weeks would be annoying to miss on a set at this level, and if nothing turns up you pay the list price anyway, if it hasn't changed. The real risk in waiting is stock, which nobody outside LEGO can see coming.

Other shops

We can't help much yet. Prices here all come from LEGO.com, because most other stores' pages refuse our checks or show no readable price. A retailer could be charging less today and we wouldn't know. Check yours before you pay, and read a discount against the RRP when you do.

What would change my answer

  • It's a present for a fixed date. Buy now if your LEGO.com shows it available. Stock status can change, and I'd sooner lose a possible offer than the date.
  • The status slips where you live. If your market drops to out of stock or backorder, there's no decision to make until it returns.
  • LEGO announces a gift for 21065. Then the window sets your date, whatever it is.
  • It gets the retiring flag. I'd stop waiting. It doesn't carry that flag today.
  • Another store shows a real discount. Take it, if the retailer is one you trust.

Before either answer

Measure first. The model is over 62 cm high, 47 cm wide and 39 cm deep, it has 12,060 pieces and an age mark of 18+. Brickset's team needed around 30 hours and suggests a turntable so you can see every side. If you haven't got the room, the timing doesn't matter. The full review covers the rest.
