Roundup
Six of the largest sets we track that LEGO.com lists as retiring soon, led by Millennium Falcon 75192. No end date is published, so I'd choose by what you want on the shelf and not by a countdown.

Roundup
A piece count tells you very little about where the model will sit. These six big sets span a 16 cm deep castle and a ship over 136 cm long, and I'd measure the shelf first.
