Big LEGO^® sets by piece count, and what it hides

These aren't the six largest of the 80 sets we track. The Eiffel Tower at 10,001 pieces, the Titanic at 9,090 pieces and Minas Tirith at 8,278 pieces outrank everything below except the top entry, and others sit further down. I picked these six because they show what a piece count tells you and what it hides.

The top entry is easy. LEGO's June press release calls the Sagrada Família "the largest LEGO building set ever released, by piece count", at 12,060 pieces. You can read our close look at it for the detail.

The order

From most to fewest: the Sagrada Família at 12,060 pieces, the Millennium Falcon at 7,541 pieces, the Executor at 6,130 pieces, the Venetian Neighbourhood at 5,682 pieces, Godzilla at 5,363 pieces and Downton Abbey at 4,711 pieces.

Five carry an 18+ mark. The Falcon is marked 16+.

Same price, half the bricks

Here's the comparison I find most useful. The Sagrada Família and the Executor carry the same price on LEGO.com in each of the seven markets we track, checked 3 Nov 2026. £649.99 on LEGO.com in the UK, checked 3 Nov 2026.$799.99 on LEGO.com in the US, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Germany, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in France, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Spain, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Italy, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Portugal, checked 3 Nov 2026. For the Executor: £649.99 on LEGO.com in the UK, checked 3 Nov 2026.$799.99 on LEGO.com in the US, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Germany, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in France, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Spain, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Italy, checked 3 Nov 2026.€749.99 on LEGO.com in Portugal, checked 3 Nov 2026.

Yet one has nearly twice the pieces of the other. Does that make the Executor the worse deal? I don't think so. It runs over 136 cm long and weighs over 5 kg, and LEGO's press release describes a LEGO System core with slim Technic outriggers holding the outer panels. Those are different things to pay for, and a count can't weigh them. If a low price per piece is your main test, the Sagrada Família wins it among these six in every market we track, at 5.4p6.6¢6.2c6.2c6.2c6.2c6.2c. The Executor comes last, at 10.6p13.1¢12.2c12.2c12.2c12.2c12.2c. Both figures were checked 3 Nov 2026.

What the count leaves out

Size on the shelf, mostly. These are LEGO's published measurements.

• Sagrada Família: over 62 cm high, 47 cm wide, 39 cm deep.
• Executor: over 20 cm high, 136 cm long, 50 cm wide.
• Venetian Neighbourhood: over 48 cm high, 64 cm wide, 33 cm deep.
• Godzilla: 70 cm tall with the Heat Ray, 27 cm wide, 40 cm long.
• Downton Abbey: over 30 cm high, 44 cm wide, 16 cm deep.

Look at the last two. Godzilla has more pieces than Downton Abbey and needs two and a half times the depth. We hold no press text with Falcon dimensions, so check the box or the product page for that one. Measure your shelf against these before anything else.

Timing

Two of the six have dates to plan around. Godzilla goes on sale on 27 November 2026, and LEGO lists a gift with purchase from 27 to 30 November, while supplies last. The Venetian Neighbourhood opened to LEGO Insiders on 1 November and opens to everyone on 4 November 2026. Buyers from 1 to 8 November get the Venetian Water Taxi, set 40898, while stocks last.

The Falcon is different: listed as retiring soon on LEGO.com, checked 3 Nov 2026, with no end date. Its stock status for your market reads: Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026. Sold outRetiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026. Other big sets on that list are in the biggest sets retiring soon, and the tracker has all 80 side by side.

Which I'd pick

For a flat with no spare wall, Downton Abbey, because 16 cm of depth fits where the others overhang. For sheer size, the Sagrada Família, provided you've measured first. I'd only buy the Executor with a specific wall in mind.
