LEGO® Godzilla 21375: what we know
Announced on 3 November 2026 and on sale from 27 November, it stands over 70 cm tall with its Heat Ray. There's no reason to act before launch, and the gift window lasts four days.
This is not financial advice. We report prices and official dates. We don't forecast what a set will be worth.

LEGO revealed this set on 3 November 2026. Everything below comes from that press release and our catalogue, because nobody we've read has reviewed it. You won't find an opinion on the build here. It's too early for one.
The dates
27 November 2026 is the date for everyone. That's Black Friday, and LEGO calls this a "Black Friday exclusive set". The release gives no separate early access date for LEGO Insiders, unlike 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood, whose Insiders got three days' head start. Insiders are offered a sweepstake for a signed set, in select markets, plus a first look at a poster reward.

The gift
Buy between 27 and 30 November 2026 from LEGO.com or a LEGO Store and you get set 40888 Godzilla Logo and Footprint, while supplies last. It's a blue logo over a cityscape with Mothra sitting on one of the buildings, plus a brick-built footprint the exact size of the model's foot. Four days, and the supply caveat is LEGO's. The release doesn't say how many there are.
The model
LEGO's headline claim is that this is the largest LEGO Ideas model ever launched. Over 70 cm tall when posed with the Heat Ray, 27 cm wide and 40 cm long. To show the scale, LEGO says a minifigure reaches only as high as the ankle. The catalogue page for the set holds the data we keep.
What moves:
- Shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers adjust, and the release also lists the head, legs and tail as posable.
- The tongue swaps out for the Heat Ray element, for the upward roar.
The creature is Legendary's Monsterverse Godzilla, so that's the look to expect. Fans of a different era may want to check the photos before getting excited.
Where it came from
Matthew Esposito, a fan designer from New York who goes by MattE720, submitted the idea through LEGO Ideas. It reached 10,000 votes, then the Review Board approved it. Esposito says the head was the hardest part, and that reaching 10,000 supporters took "more than two years".
LEGO names Jordan David Scott and Jim Clayton as the designers on its 3 November livestream. The launch also lines up with the cinema release of Godzilla Minus Zero.
What we don't know
Plenty. The release doesn't say:
- Whether any minifigures come in the box. The ankle line is about scale.
- How many bags or instruction books there are, or how long it takes.
- How steady the pose is. A figure over 70 cm tall needs a good answer, and I'd want a reviewer's word on that.
- Whether stock will meet the launch weekend.
What I'd do
Nothing yet. There's no pre-order date in the release, and no reason to decide today. Wait for the first independent reviews, which should show how it stands and how it handles posing. If they're good and you want the footprint, 27 to 30 November is your window.
Space is less of a problem than with the 136 cm Executor, at 27 cm wide and 40 cm long. Read big sets by piece count to see where it falls. If it's not for you, January 2027's arrivals are next up.
