New LEGO® sets arriving January 2027
Six sets dated 1 January 2027, from a small Gabby's Dollhouse set to a Joker wall piece marked for adults. Fire Mario & Bowser's Castle is the one I'd watch, because the release tells us the most about it.

11227 Gabby's Dollhouse and Doozie's Doghouse
Youngest age mark here
The lowest age mark of the six and one of the two lowest prices. The catch: all we have is the listing, with no official feature list.
71875 Lloyd vs. Ras Spinner Battle
Small NINJAGO pick
Same price as the Gabby's set in every market we track, with slightly more pieces. No press release among those we read, so the name is the only clue to how it plays.
42719 Heartlake City Shopping Mall
Best for pretend play
LEGO lists a working elevator and a working toy vending machine, with four characters. It's the widest of the Friends sets announced for January, at 40 cm.
72060 Fire Mario & Bowser's Castle
My one to watch
Part of the Super Mario refresh built around minifigures, with lava balls, hidden traps and a treasure chest. The first big set of the new direction is the one I'd read closely.
42254 Solar System Planets in Orbit
Highest per piece here
Same price as the castle and the mall with far fewer pieces, in every market we track. The listing doesn't explain what the Technic build does, so I'd wait for details.
67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover
The one for adults
The only set here marked for adults and the lowest of the six per piece. It costs the most too, and we've read no official description beyond the listing.
January 2027 has 12 of the 80 sets we track dated for the first day of the month. I've picked six and ordered them from the youngest age mark to the oldest. The full calendar is on the arriving page.
How firm are the dates?
Not equally firm.
Two sets have a press release behind them. LEGO says the new Super Mario sets arrive "from January 1st, 2027" via LEGO.com, LEGO stores and select retailers. It says the Friends sets are available worldwide from 1 January 2027. Neither release mentions a LEGO Insiders early-access date, so I've taken 1 January as the date for everyone.
The other four have no press release among those we read. For the Technic, NINJAGO, Gabby's Dollhouse and Joker sets, the date comes from the LEGO.com listing, as of 3 Nov 2026. A listing can change. Treat those four as announced by the shop and not yet explained by the maker.
The two smallest: Gabby's Dollhouse and NINJAGO
Gabby's Dollhouse and Doozie's Doghouse, set 11227, is 133 pieces with an age mark of 4+. Set 71875, Lloyd vs. Ras Spinner Battle, is 153 pieces at 6+.
Both come in at the same price in each market we track. £17.99 on LEGO.com in the UK, checked 3 Nov 2026.$19.99 on LEGO.com in the US, checked 3 Nov 2026.€19.99 on LEGO.com in Germany, checked 3 Nov 2026.€19.99 on LEGO.com in France, checked 3 Nov 2026.€19.99 on LEGO.com in Spain, checked 3 Nov 2026.€19.99 on LEGO.com in Italy, checked 3 Nov 2026.€19.99 on LEGO.com in Portugal, checked 3 Nov 2026. I can't say more about how either one plays, because we haven't read a description. For a child's gift, start with the age mark and read our guide to age marks and small parts.
The mall and the castle
These two are the ones we know something about. Heartlake City Shopping Mall is 843 pieces, marked 7+. LEGO lists Irene, Nova, Liann and Leo as the characters, with a working elevator and a working toy vending machine. It measures over 22 cm high, 40 cm wide and 19 cm deep.
Fire Mario & Bowser's Castle is 850 pieces, marked 8+. Bowser, Koopa Troopa and Goomba defend the fortress with lava balls and hidden traps, while Fire Mario can uncover a treasure chest of coins. The castle is 26 cm high, 36 cm wide and 17 cm long.
This is the set I'd watch. LEGO describes the January range as a refresh of Super Mario, now centred on minifigure roleplay. A new direction for a theme makes the first big set the one to read closely when it lands.
In your market the castle reads Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027, and the mall reads Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027Pre-order, ships from 1 Jan 2027. They share a price in every market we track. £89.99 on LEGO.com in the UK, checked 3 Nov 2026.$99.99 on LEGO.com in the US, checked 3 Nov 2026.€99.99 on LEGO.com in Germany, checked 3 Nov 2026.€99.99 on LEGO.com in France, checked 3 Nov 2026.€99.99 on LEGO.com in Spain, checked 3 Nov 2026.€99.99 on LEGO.com in Italy, checked 3 Nov 2026.€99.99 on LEGO.com in Portugal, checked 3 Nov 2026.
The two with the widest gap
Solar System Planets in Orbit, set 42254, has 572 pieces and an age mark of 10+. It lists at the same price as the castle and the mall in every market we track, as of 3 Nov 2026. That puts it at 15.7p17.5¢17.5c17.5c17.5c17.5c17.5c a piece against 10.6p11.8¢11.8c11.8c11.8c11.8c11.8c for the castle. A Technic model may spend its pieces very differently from a play castle, so don't read much into that until LEGO says what it does.
The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover, set 67012, sits at the other end: 1,849 pieces, 18+, and 8.1p9.2¢9.2c9.2c9.2c9.2c9.2c a piece. It's the lowest of these six per piece in every market, and the highest in price. £149.99 on LEGO.com in the UK, checked 3 Nov 2026.$169.99 on LEGO.com in the US, checked 3 Nov 2026.€169.99 on LEGO.com in Germany, checked 3 Nov 2026.€169.99 on LEGO.com in France, checked 3 Nov 2026.€169.99 on LEGO.com in Spain, checked 3 Nov 2026.€169.99 on LEGO.com in Italy, checked 3 Nov 2026.€169.99 on LEGO.com in Portugal, checked 3 Nov 2026.
