Lowest and highest price per piece we track

Of the 80 LEGO® sets we track, Mini Hogwarts Castle has the lowest price per piece in all seven markets. The highest changes with the market: the US differs from the other six.

This is not financial advice. We report prices and official dates. We don't forecast what a set will be worth.

  1. 40975 Mini Hogwarts Castle

    Lowest in all seven markets

The lowest price per piece of the 80 sets we track, in every market we read. The catch: the figure says nothing about how big the model is.

  2. 21065 Sagrada Família

Second lowest, third in the US

Second lowest in the UK and the five EU markets, third in the US. Of the 80, only the Millennium Falcon costs more, in all seven markets, so a low rate doesn't mean a small bill.

  3. 10307 Eiffel tower

Third lowest, second in the US

Swaps places with Sagrada Família: third lowest in the UK and the five EU markets, second lowest in the US.

  4. 11227 Gabby's Dollhouse and Doozie's Doghouse

    Third highest in all seven

So few pieces push the rate up. It is the least expensive set in this list and among the highest per piece.

  5. 42215 Volvo EC500 Hybrid Excavator

Highest in the US, second elsewhere

The highest of the 80 in the US and second highest in the UK and the five EU markets. Our data doesn't say what else is in the box.

  6. 42254 Solar System Planets in Orbit

    Highest outside the US

The highest of the sets we track in the UK and the five EU markets, second highest in the US. Check its status below before you plan around it.

I ranked all 80 sets we track by price per piece, separately inside each of the seven markets: the UK, the US, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal. Prices come from LEGO.com, checked 3 Nov 2026. Nothing here compares one currency with another. A rank only means something inside its own market.

The list below runs from low to high in the order the UK and the five EU markets share. The US swaps two pairs, and I'll flag each one.

The low end

40975 Mini Hogwarts Castle comes first everywhere. All seven markets agree. It has 700 pieces and reads 5.0p5.7¢5.7c5.7c5.7c5.7c5.7c a piece in your market.

Second and third depend on where you are. In the UK and the five EU markets, 21065 Sagrada Família is second and 10307 Eiffel Tower third. In the US those two trade places, so Eiffel Tower is second and Sagrada Família third. Your figures: 5.4p6.6¢6.2c6.2c6.2c6.2c6.2c for Sagrada Família and 5.5p6.3¢6.3c6.3c6.3c6.3c6.3c for Eiffel Tower.

Look at what these two are. They have 12,060 pieces and 10,001 pieces, and they cost far more than most of the catalogue. A low rate on a huge box is still a huge bill. Mini Hogwarts is the odd one out, a small purchase that lands next to them.

The high end

Here the US differs at the very top. Solar System Planets in Orbit, set 42254, is the highest in the UK and the five EU markets, with Volvo EC500 Hybrid Excavator, set 42215, second. In the US that order flips: the Volvo is highest and Solar System second. Set 11227, Gabby's Dollhouse and Doozie's Doghouse, is third in all seven.

In your market they read 15.7p17.5¢17.5c17.5c17.5c17.5c17.5c for Solar System, 14.8p18.2¢17.0c17.0c17.0c17.0c17.0c for the Volvo and 13.5p15.0¢15.0c15.0c15.0c15.0c15.0c for Gabby's.

Those three are very different. Gabby's has 133 pieces and an age mark of 4+. With so few pieces, a small bill still works out high per piece. Solar System has 572 pieces. The Volvo has 2,359 pieces and a much bigger price, and it's the one I'd look at hardest. Our data doesn't say what else is in that box, so I can't tell you what the rate pays for.

What to check before you use this

Status differs across the six, and it's worth a look. In your market: Solar System reads "Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027", Gabby's "Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027Coming 1 Jan 2027", the Volvo "Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026. BackorderRetiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026Retiring soon, checked 3 Nov 2026" and Sagrada Família "AvailableTemporarily out of stockAvailableAvailableAvailableAvailableAvailable". A set you can't buy today has a rate you can't use today.

Some sets sit out. Depending on the market, up to three of the 80 have no verified price, and those can't be ranked there. None of them comes near either end in the markets where we do have a figure, so the rankings above hold.

And this is one day's reading. LEGO.com charges RRP on all 80 today, so these rankings come straight from RRP and piece count. A price change on one set could reorder the list, and the tracker has the current figures for your market.

I wouldn't choose a set from this list alone. When price per piece helps and when it misleads sets out why, and why one set costs differently by market covers how the markets differ. For a gift, LEGO gifts by budget is a better place to start.
